Buyer Privacy Notice

This notice is for people who visit, buy from, enroll in, subscribe to, or book with a store built on utobo — for example, a store at a *.utobians.com address or at a creator's own domain ("Store"). Each Store is owned and run by an independent creator, not by utobo, Inc. ("utobo").
Who is responsible for your information
The creator who runs the Store is responsible for the personal information you give the Store and decides how it is used. Please read the creator's own privacy policy, which should be linked on their Store, and contact the creator directly with questions or requests about your data.
utobo provides the technology the creator uses and processes your information on the creator's behalf. utobo also uses limited information as an independent controller to operate and secure the platform — for example, to prevent fraud, spam, and abuse; to keep the service reliable; to comply with law; and to improve our products using aggregated or de-identified information.
Information processed
- Contact details you provide, such as your name and email address;
- Orders, subscriptions, bookings, downloads, and course or membership progress;
- Messages you exchange with the creator and emails the creator sends you;
- Device, log, and cookie data collected when you visit a Store.
Payments are handled by the payment processor the creator connects (such as Stripe or PayPal), which collects your card or account details directly. utobo does not store full card numbers.
Service providers
Stores are hosted and delivered using utobo's service providers, including cloud infrastructure, content-delivery, network-security, and communications providers. The list is on our Subprocessors page. Creators may also connect their own tools, which are governed by the creator's policies.
Your choices and rights
To access, correct, delete, or export your information, or to unsubscribe, contact the creator. Every marketing email sent through utobo includes an unsubscribe link. If you cannot reach the creator, email privacy@utobo.com and we will help route your request.
