One platform

Transactional and marketing email in one platform.

One contact list, one API, one bill. utobo Email sends your application's receipts, resets and notifications through the same platform as your newsletters, campaigns and automations — so you never stitch two tools together, and your unsubscribes and bounces apply everywhere at once.

Why most teams end up with two email tools

It is rarely a decision. It is what the market sells.

API providers stop at transactional

Developer-first services such as Resend are deliberately narrow: a clean transactional API plus basic broadcasts. Segmentation, drip automations and a real contact list mean adding a second product.

Marketing suites bolt transactional on

In Mailchimp, transactional email is a separate paid product (Mailchimp Transactional, formerly Mandrill). In SendGrid the marketing side has always felt secondary to the API. Either way: two products, two contact stores, two bills.

Vertical suites are built for a different job

Klaviyo is an ecommerce data platform; ActiveCampaign is an automation builder with a CRM. Both are excellent at their job and heavy for a team that simply needs to send both kinds of email well.

What changes when both live in one place

  • One contact list: an unsubscribe or a hard bounce is suppressed everywhere, automatically — no syncing lists between tools
  • One domain setup: verify a single DKIM record and utobo keeps SPF, DKIM and DMARC aligned for every message you send
  • One set of delivery logs and webhooks (delivered, opened, bounced, complained) for receipts and campaigns alike
  • One AI writer and template editor for transactional templates, newsletters and drip sequences
  • One API key, one SMTP relay, one Node.js SDK — the marketing side is a feature, not an integration
  • One bill: the All-in-one plan is priced below the two tracks bought together

What it costs

All-in-one plans at three typical sizes. Prices are the published list prices.

Different mix? Run your own numbers — the calculator also tells you when two separate plans would be cheaper.

Set it up in an afternoon

1

Verify your domain

Account → Domains. Add the one DKIM record utobo gives you; verification is automatic and SPF, DKIM and DMARC stay aligned. No MX change is needed just to send.
2

Send transactional email

Call the REST API from the Node.js SDK (full TypeScript types) or any HTTP client, or point your existing mailer at the SMTP relay. Delivery events arrive in real-time logs and HMAC-signed webhooks.
3

Bring your contacts

Contacts → Import a CSV (email, name, custom fields) or add them through the API. Duplicates and invalid addresses are skipped; imported unsubscribes stay unsubscribed.
4

Send your first campaign

Describe it and the AI drafts the campaign and its follow-ups; edit in the visual or code editor. A compliant unsubscribe link is added automatically.

Who this is for — and who it is not for

A good fit

  • Software products that send receipts, resets and notifications and also email their users about what is new
  • Online stores and creators sending order email plus newsletters and promotions
  • Teams paying for an API provider and a marketing suite and reconciling two contact lists

Not a fit

  • Cold outreach to people who have not opted in — utobo is for permission-based email; use a dedicated outreach tool
  • Teams that need Klaviyo-depth ecommerce analytics or ActiveCampaign-style hand-built automation trees
